Stephanie Sigman, a Mexican-American actress. Her debut role was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. The actress went on to appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016), and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman appeared in Narcos (2015) as well as S.W.A.T.(2017) in the first and second seasons respectively. Sigman was born to a Mexican mother and an American dad, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. By virtue of her father, she is an U.S. citizen. The father of her, professional baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her first professional work was in Mexican television before she made her film debut in Rio de Oro. She played the role of Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film. [6] The film was selected for consideration as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, but it was not on the shortlist. For her performance in the film, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. In 2011 she was in Catalina Aguado, the Canadian documentary film Flight of the Butterflies. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer the film, a Norwegian thriller.
