Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a writer from Greece, a syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a TV host, journalist, philanthropist and author for over ten years. Her role also includes being the owner of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. Her birthplace was in Greece and moved to England at age 16. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in Economics. The well-known debating club The Cambridge Union was her first presidency and she did it when she was 21. Being a conservative syndicated blog, after graduating she was able to be an influential voice for the Huffington Post. Her fame and popularity helped in getting several high-profile contributors to post their views on politics news and culture. Arianna first gained notoriety during 2003 when she volunteered for California's recall election, replacing then Governor Davis. Apart from this she also led an Detroit initiative to encourage vehicles that are fuel efficient. Forbes named her as 12th on its top 10 list of Most Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post on their top 100 list in 2010. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. Then she was appointed the head of AOL's media group. The group included several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were who was a consultant in management as well as a journalist. She was extremely close to her father. But it was her relationship with her mother who shaped her. Even as a young girl she displayed leadership qualities that she still is known for. At the age of sixteen, she left America to United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. In the years of her university, she belonged to the Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first woman and the only foreign president. In 1972, she earned the degree of Master in Economics. Her career as a journalist and television host began after she graduated. She also appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started making books with his editing assistance.
